I think of the content as local news for the business and try to find topics of industry interest, specific to the business I am writing about. This way the content has legs with both consumers competitors and employees. You've got research at your finger tips online that you can use to engage your audience and keep it relevant...it doesn't all have to come straight out of personal experience! It's always nice to be in an industry where you can get creative without competing directly with the content of others.
